Narrow Way Notes: Our Story
Welcome to the Path
Greetings! I am glad you have found this space. Narrow Way Notes began in the summer of 2021 as a central hub for the scriptural summaries and discussions I shared with my family. What started as a small project between cousins has since evolved into a dedicated platform for original, in-depth Bible meditations and theological reflections.
Our Mission: Depth Over Breadth
In a world of quick takes and surface-level reading, this blog is committed to the "long form" study of God's Word. Each post represents a deep dive into Scripture (often exceeding 1,000 words) where we explore the historical context, the profound insights of classic commentaries, and the modern application of ancient truths.
To maintain clarity and precision in these studies, I primarily utilize the English Standard Version (ESV), with occasional references to the King James Version (KJV) and New International Version (NIV) to provide a well-rounded perspective on the text.
I strive to post a new reflection every Sunday, with specialized series curated for significant seasons such as Lent and Advent.
Why "Narrow Way Notes"?
Initially, this blog lived under a different name. However, after a period of prayer and reflection during the Easter season of 2025, we were led to the name Narrow Way Notes. This name better reflects our commitment to the focused, intentional path of studying the Word, that is, choosing the "small gate" of disciplined study over the broad path of casual reading.
A Note on Anonymity
I choose to share these notes without a personal name to ensure the focus remains entirely on the Scripture and the Truth it reveals. My hope is that these reflections serve as a lamp to your feet, regardless of where you are on your spiritual journey.
Explore the Journey
Whether you are a long-time student of the Bible or just beginning to seek the Truth, I invite you to explore:
- You can find the very first post of the blog here! (See where our journey began in 2021.)
- Read about why we believe studying the Bible is so vital for the believer today.
